Alumni Library Services

Hastings alumni are welcome to use the Hastings Law Library whenever it is open. (See library hours.) They may also apply for alumni borrowing privileges at a special rate of $100 for the required deposit. See below for more detailed information about library access. Library Access:

Hastings alumni, members of the California Bar, and law students from other law schools may use the library whenever it is open (including evening and weekend hours). Library hours are listed here. All library patrons are required to sign-in at the first floor Security Desk. After showing appropriate ID, you will be issued a visitor pass good for the day.

Hastings alumni and individual attorneys who are active members of the California Bar may apply for library borrowing privileges. Law firm librarians may also apply on behalf of their firms. Application forms for individual and corporate borrowing privileges and the accompanying unaffiliated borrowing rules are available here and at the Library Circulation Desk. Applications for borrowing privileges require a refundable deposit of $100 for Hastings alumni, $200 for State Bar members, or $400 for qualified law firms. Applications take ten working days to process.
